Information Fair on in Rajbari

RAJBARI, Dec 10:  A two-day (Dec 10-11) Information Fair began on Azadi Maidan Chattar in Sadar Upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The fair has been arranged by Socheton Nagorik Committee (SNC), assisted by the district administration. It was initiated by Transparency International-Bangladesh. 

SNC-Rajbari President Professor (Rtd) Md Nuruzzaman presided over the opening.     

Rajbari Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Jahidul Islam was present as the chief guest at the opening function.  

District Police Superintendent Shamima Parvin, Civil Surgeon Dr Md Ibrahim Titon, and Additional DC Siddhartha Vowmik, spoke, among others.    

Speakers said, democracy is the life for people, and it determines fundamental rights of the people. If the Right to Information act is implemented properly, people's right to information will be easier, they added.

They further said, "Information is the power; we will know it and let it be known."
