Mohammedan Sporting Club will take on old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society in one of the opening Group B matches of the Bashundhara Group Federation Cup football scheduled to be held today (Tuesday) at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital.
The match kicks off at 2.30 pm.
In the day's another group B match, Abahani Limited Dhaka meet Chittagong Abahani Limited at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla also at 2.30 pm.
In the remaining group B matches, the traditional black and white Motijeel outfit will play against Chittagong Abahani Limited, Abahani Limited Dhaka and Fakirerpool Young Men's Club on December 24, January 7 and February 4 next respectively.
While Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society will face against Fakirerpool Young Men's Club, Chittagong Abahani Limited and Abahani Limited Dhaka on December 24, January 21 and February 4 next respectively.
Earlier, in the opening group A matches held last week, defending champions Bashundhara Kings made a winning start as they edged past Brothers Union Club by a solitary goal while Bangladesh Police Football Club split points with Fortis Football Club when their match ended in a tame goalless draw.
The Federation Cup is being held every week on Tuesday. —BSS
