Irish girls take ODI's revenge whitewashing hosts in T20

Ireland Women defeated Bangladesh Women by four wickets in the nail batting 3rd T20i of the three-match series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday to seal the series 3-0. 

Visitors won the toss and opted to ball inviting hosts to bat first. Bangladesh openers Sobhana Mostary and Murshida Khatun showed early aggression till Murshida' dismissal on 12. Sharmin Akhter Supta then joined with Sobhana to build a 71-run partnership for the second wicket as Supta departed on 34 off 33. Sobhana missed a fifty for five runs. But none of the next batters could show resistance as Bangladesh posted a decent total of 123 for seven in their 20 overs. 

Orla Prendergast was exceptional among Irish bowlers claiming four wickets for 22 runs, while Aimee Maguire provided valuable support with two dismissals.

Chasing 124, Ireland got even better start as Amy Hunter (28) and skipper Gaby Lewis (21) stood 55-run opening stand. But soon after their dismissals, the guests started losing wickets at regular intervals from the one end and Laura Delany anchoring the side from the other end. Delany's unbeaten 36 ensured Ireland maintained their momentum to win the last ball thriller.

Rabeya Khan clinched two wickets for Bangladesh, with Nahida Akter and Jannatul Ferdus chipping in with one wicket apiece. 

Earlier, Bangladesh swept Ireland cleanly in the three-match ODI series and Ireland took the revenge in the similar fashion in T20i format.
