Man drowns in Bhola pond

A man drowned in a pond in the Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district on Monday morning.

The incident occurred in the Western Para area under Ward No. 8 of Lalmohan municipality.
The deceased was identified as Md. Foysal Hossain, 35, son of the late Sattar Hossain, a resident of the area.

It was learnt that Foysal ran a tea stall. He fell into the pond while taking water from it for his stall. Locals rescued him and took him to Lalmohan Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Md. Sirazul Islam, officer-in-charge of Lalmohan Police Station, confirmed the incident.
