One held with hemp in Joypurhat

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 59 kilograms of hemp from the Vadsha area at Sadar upazila in Joypurhat district on Sunday night.

The arrested man is Ibrahim, 30, son of Kafil Uddin, hailed from Cumilla district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the aforesaid area at midnight and arrested Ibrahim with the drugs, a RAB official said. 

A case was filed with Joypurhat Sadar Police Station in this connection, the RAB official added.
