Ferry service resumes after 5hrs on Chandpur-Shariatpur route

The ferry service on the Chandpur-Shariatpur river route resumed after a five-hour disruption caused by heavy fog on Monday morning.
 
"The ferry movement between Harina and Narsinghapur Alubazar was suspended around 4am due to heavy fog, disconnecting communications on the both sides of the route," said Faisal Alam Chowdhury, Harina Ferry Ghat Manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).
The ferry services resumed around 9am, he added.
