The police arrested two members of a robbery group from Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj district on Monday morning.
The arrested men are Md Hasan, 20, from Dhaka, and Md Shimul, 27, from Bhola.
They were arrested in the Balur field area of Kashiani upazila, Gopalganj district, at around 9:00am.
Abdul Kashem Mozumdar, inspector of Kashiani Highway Police Camp, said, 'The police signaled a Dhaka-bound pick-up van in the area, but the driver did not stop the vehicle.'
The police then chased the vehicle and apprehended it 10 kilometers away. They detained two people from the pick-up, while five other members of the group managed to flee.
The arrested robbers have been handed over to Kashiani Police Station, he added."
