Seven more people died from dengue while 596 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever in 24 hours till Sunday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With the recent deaths, the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh rose to 529 this year and 93,467 dengue cases since 1 January.
In the fatalities, three were reported in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), one each in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Dhaka, Mymensingh and Rajshahi Division (outside the city corporation).
Meanwhile, 765 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours and 93,467 people have been discharged till December 8.
Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 1,705 people, making it the deadliest year on record.
According to DGHS, there were 3,21,179 dengue cases and 3,18,749 recoveries in 2023.
