Bangladesh was bowled out for 198 runs by India in the final of ACC Men's U-19 Asia Cup in Dubai on Sunday.
Despite a few notable contributions, the defending champions failed to post a competitive total after being put in to bat.
Rizan Hossan led the Bangladeshi batting effort with a top score of 47, while Shihab James added 40 runs. Farid Hossain contributed a valuable 39 off 40 balls in the latter stages, helping Bangladesh avoid an even lower total.
India's bowlers delivered a disciplined performance, with six of their seven bowlers picking up wickets. They dismissed Bangladesh with five balls to spare, maintaining pressure throughout the innings.
Bangladesh had reached the final after a dominant seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the semifinals, while India secured their spot with a similar win against Sri Lanka. The defending champions now face an uphill task to retain their title as India prepares to chase the modest target.
