BNP Senior Joint Secretary General  Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Saturday, "India is trying to mislead the world by spreading lies about Bangladesh in its attempt to bring back the fallen fascist government."

Speaking at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute Hospital after visiting patients injured during the student-people mass movement,  he said, "Politicians, policymakers and many media outlets in India are carrying out anti-Bangladesh propaganda."
Rizvi said, "They're trying to mislead the world by spreading fabricated stories of minority oppression in Bangladesh."

He accused India of shedding "crocodile tears" for Sheikh Hasina.

Rizvi said Chinmoy Krishna Das, has been arrested on specific charge of showing disrespect for Bangladesh flag.

He said earlier ISKCON expelled him for his "misdeeds". Bangladesh cannot be subjugated using h veiled threats or intimidation, he said.

He condemned disrespect shown to  Bangladesh flag in India and the recent attack on the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala.

"The Indians torn down the flag of Bangladesh, in violation of the Vienna Convention," he said.

He also criticised India for its refusal to  denounce violence unleashed by Sheikh Hasina on the citizens of Bangladesh.

"The scene I witnessed in the burn unit is beyond words. I visited various hospitals, I have seen much, but nothing compares to the sheer brutality I observed today. It was totally heart-breaking. It felt as if I was watching a scenes from a horror film. Who will take responsibility for this? How will these people survive?" he asked.

He said autocratic ruler Sheikh Hasina, created such an atrocious situation before fleeing the country. "Those responsible for this carnage from the ministers to all others involved in killing our people, crippling our brothers, and committing these heinous crimes must be brought to justice in the International Crimes Tribunal."
