Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Magistrate Muhammad Kamruzzaman stated that sports are an integral part of education and play a crucial role in keeping youth away from drugs.

Emphasizing the importance of sports in promoting physical and mental development, he encouraged students to engage in sports alongside their academic studies for overall growth.

Addressing the audience, the Deputy Commissioner said, "Students should remain engaged in academics and physical activities on the playground. Efforts must be made to bring the younger generation back from digital gaming to outdoor activities. Parents must pay close attention to their children to ensure a balanced lifestyle. With persistence and hard work, students can achieve success in their future endeavors."

The event was organized by the Upazila Parishad under the Annual Development Program (ADP) to distribute winter school uniforms, educational materials and sports equipment to underprivileged, differently-abled and needy students.
