Fourth victim of Mirpur gas fire dies

A 13-year-old boy has died from burn injuries suffered in a fire caused by gas buildup in a kitchen in Dhaka's Mirpur, which also claimed the lives of his parents and younger brother.

The victim, identified with a single name as Abdullah, passed away at 6:15am on Friday at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, according to Dr Shaon Bin Rahman, a resident doctor at the institute's emergency department.

"Abdullah had burns covering 38 per cent of his body. As of now, four people have died from the fire," Shaon said.    —bdnews24.com
