10-man Mohammedan beats Bashundhara Kings

The ten-man Mohammedan Sporting Club outplayed big-budget Bashundhara Kings in a 1-0 match in the Bangladesh Premier League in the Cumilla District Stadium on Friday. 

Winning the match, the traditional black and white outfits ascended to the top place on the point table with six points. Losing the match, Bashundhara Kings was downgraded to the third place on the point table with three points only. 
Mohammedan SC was defeated by Bashundhara Kings in a Bangladesh 2.0 Challenge Cup match at the home venue of Bashundhara Kings a few weeks ago. Now, a ten-man Mohammedan took revenge on the opponent with a win in the BPL. 

Malian striker Souleymane Diabate netted the match-winning goal for Mohammedan in the 58th minute. 

Before that, the black and white jerseys were reduced to a ten-player team following a direct red card to their custodian Sujon Hossain in the 25th minute. While a Bashundhara striker Rakib was trying to take control of a flight, Mohammedan custodian Sujon collided with him in an attempt to intercept. As a result, the custodian was shown a direct red card. 

Although the Bashundhara boys were better to Mohammedan rivals in comparison to strength and budget, the black and white outfits defeated them successfully.
