Once upon a time in misty hill, two fairy sisters named Lily and Zarah lived in a secret glade where trees whispered and air smelled like flowers. Every day they played in the forest, but one day something strange happened.

While flying near a hidden cave, they saw flowers around it wilting. "This isn't right," said Lily. "Flowers should be bright and happy not sad."

Zarah nodded. "Something's wrong. Let's find out what it is."
The sisters flew into the cave. It was cool and dark inside. They saw a glowing crystal that had lost its shine. "This crystal is heart of the forest," said Lily. "It gives magic to everything here. But now it's fading."

Zarah was worried. "How can we fix it?"

Just then a shadow moved in the cave. A witch with dark hair and a crooked smile stepped out. "Ah so you've found my secret," she said laughing. "This crystal's magic is mine now. Without it forest will die and I will rule land."

Lily and Zarah gasped. "You took crystal's magic?" asked Lily.

The witch smiled. "Yes and I will make forest dark and cold with no more flowers for you." Sisters looked at each other. They knew they had to stop the witch. "We won't let you," said Zarah. "Magic belongs to forest." The witch waved her wand and the cave filled with dark shadows. But Lily and Zarah held hands and their wings glowed with bright light. They whispered a special spell and the cave began to shine. The more they sang the brighter the light grew pushing the witch's magic away. With a loud crash the witch screamed and flew out of the cave. The crystal started to glow again. Flowers outside began to bloom and trees stood tall with leaves sparkling in the sun. The forest was full of magic once more. "We did it!" said Lily excited.
Zarah smiled. "We stopped the witch and saved the forest."

From that day on Lily and Zarah kept the crystal safe making sure magic of hill tracts stayed strong forever.
