AL leader's body found in C'nawabganj

Police on Friday recovered the body of an Awami League leader from a guava garden in Chapainawabganj's Nachol upazila.

The incident took place at around 9 am in Haklor Satalpara area under Nachol union of the upazila.
The dead Kamrul Islam, 42, was a resident of Suryapur village under Nachol of the upazila. He was the president of Ward No. 2 Awami League of the union.

Locals said that they spotted Kamrul's body lying in a guava garden in the morning and informed police. Later, the police came and recovered the body.

Nachol Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monirul Islam said the body has been recovered and sent to morgue for autopsy. However, the cause of death will be known after the autopsy.
