Two traders were killed in a head-on collision between a tractor and a motorcycle in Thakurgaon's Pirganj on Wednesday night.
The accident occurred around 8:30 pm at Chapor in the upazila.
The dead were identified as Harun Or Rashid, a rice trader, of Mukandpur village under Kaharol upazila in Dinajpur, and Abdul Khalek, a corn trader, of Mile Bariya area of the same upazila.
Police said the two were heading towards Dinajpur riding on a motorcycle from Pirganj at night. On the way, they collided with a tractor leaving from Birganj at Chapor on the Pirganj-Birganj road, leaving them seriously injured.
They were rushed to Pirganj Hospital where Harun died. The doctor sent Abdul Khalek to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital. He later died there.
Pirganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tajul Islam confirmed it.
