Workshop for teachers held at PUST

PABNA, Dec 4: A day-long training workshop on "Teaching, Learning, and Assessment" was conducted for lecturers from all departments of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) on Monday.

The workshop was organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and held at the Virtual Classroom in the Central Library and Information Centre of PUST.
Professor Dr SM Abdul Awal, Vice-Chancellor of PUST, was the chief guest and keynote speaker at the event. In his address, he emphasised the importance of focusing on practical research for national development and human welfare.

He stressed the need to prioritise quality in faculty, staff, and employees over infrastructure development and called for the establishment of sustainable systems within the university.

Additional resource persons included Professor Dr Md Khairul Alam, chairman of the Physics Department, and Professor Dr Md Hasebur Rahman from the Department of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).

The event was presided over by Professor Dr Md Shamim Reza, director of the IQAC while Professor Dr Md Nur Alam supervised the workshop.

The training, attended by all lecturers of PUST, began at 10am and concluded at 1pm. The workshop aimed to enhance teaching strategies, learning techniques, and assessment methods to ensure academic excellence across all departments.
