

The body of a Jubo League activist, with his hands and feet tied, was found floating in the Brahmaputra River five days after he went missing in Narayanganj's Sonargaon upazila on Wednesday.
The body was found floating in the evening at Alampura under Jampur Union of the upazila.
The dead Jubo League activist Mobarak Hossain was a member of Jubo League of Ward 8 under Sadipur Union. He was a mason by profession.
The deceased's nephew Sharif Mia said Mobarak Hossain left his house on Saturday afternoon but did not return. When he did not return home, the family searched for him at his relatives' houses but failed to find him. On Sunday, he lodged a general diary with Sonargaon Police Station.
Later, on Wednesday evening, locals spotted his body and informed police. Being informed, the police identified the body of Mobarak Hossain.
Baidyerbazar Police Outpost Inspector Mahbubur Rahman confirmed it.
