BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said if India plays aggressive role against Bangladesh one after another, the country will also demand West Bangla, Bihar and Odisha states. India is spreading propaganda against Bangladesh with a view to protecting Sheikh Hasina, he also said.
He was speaking at a demonstration in the capital organized by Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front in protest against the attack on Bangladesh Assistant High Commission at Agartala in the Indian state of Tripura.
The BNP leader observed that Indian premier Narendra Modi was spreading hatred to cling to power. The extremism of any religion is against the humanity. "We'll fight against the Indian aggression together," he said.
Rizvi further said: "We, Hindus and Muslims, will fight together. We will resist the hegemony of Delhi. Though the entire world has wept witnessing the self-sacrifices of youths during the mass uprising of July, India has resorted to spreading propaganda against the people of Bangladesh in order to protect Sheikh Hasina."
