Sectt employees postpone Dec 4 rally after assurance from govt

The Bangladesh Secretariat Officers and Employees United Council (Bangladesh Sachibaloy Karmakarta-Karmachari Sanjukta Parishad) on Sunday postponed its December 4 grand rally after getting assurance from the government at a meeting with two senior secretaries.

A delegation of the parishad led by its president Badiul Kabir on Sunday attended a meeting with Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary Dr Md Mokhles Ur Rahman and Land Ministry Senior Secretary Dr ASM Saleh Ahmed at the Public Administray Ministry on their 9-point demands.

Emerging from the meeting, Badiul Kabir said that a tensed situation has been prevailing in the Secretariat after announcement of their December 4 grand rally. Taking the situation into consideration, the two senior officials held a meeting and agreed with the demands of employees.
