Victory rally held at DU

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities held a colourful victory rally on the campus on Sunday.

Marking the beginning of the victory month, December, Vice-Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmed Khan inaugurated the rally by releasing pigeons and balloons.

The rally began at Aparajeyo Bangla and ended at Smriti Chironton Square after passing through TSC.

Speaking at the rally, Prof Khan paid tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War and highlighted significance of the recent July Uprising. 

He called on teachers, students, officers and employees of the university to remain united and work towards for the country's progress.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Sayema Haque Bidisha, senate and syndicate members, deans, hall provosts, directors, department heads, teachers, students, alumni and staff of the university attended the rally.
