Bagmara Press Club gets new body

BAGMARA, RAJSHAHI, Dec 1: The new committee of Bagmara Press Club in the district was formed on Saturday.

Rashedul Haque Firoz, representative of Dainik Sonar Desh, and Helal Uddin, correspondent of Pratidin Sangbad, were elected president and general secretary (GS) respectively. 

The other office bearers are: Vice-President - Nur Qutubul Alam; Treasurer - Abdul Matin; Joint GS - Shamim Reza; Office Secretary - Akbar Ali; and Copyright Officer - Anwar Hossain Babu. 

Bagmara Upazila Agriculture Officer Abdur Razzak, Project Implementation Officer Rajib Al Rana and Assistant Programmer Tajrul Islam Milon served as commissioners in the biennial election. 

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahbubul Islam announced the result as the chief guest while Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nahid Hossain was present as the special guest.
