The Bangladesh Football Federation has been working to include Hamza Chowdhury in the Bangladesh national football team. The subject is currently being considered by FIFA's Players Status Committee.
Recently, a fabricated information went viral on social media that the BFF President Tabith Awal was going to the FIFA headquarters at Sunday night to get approval from the FIFA Status Committee to play Hamza Chowdhury in the Bangladesh team.
The BFF president confirmed to media that it was not true.
In a Facebook post, Tabith Awal said, "This false information has spread on social media about Hamza Chowdhury's player status from FIFA and involving me. I want to inform the media personnel and the people of the country that BFF is doing everything necessary for Hamza Chowdhury's chance to play for Bangladesh. But the incident mentioned in this photo card is completely fictitious. '
Afterwards, he asked everyone to avoid such misinformation.
He wrote, "I request everyone not to be misled by misinformation. At the same time, I am aware of the rumors spread from such unofficial social media pages and request you to not take them into account."
