Bangladesh posted 69 for two in in their first innings at the end of Day-1 of the second and last Test of the two-match series against the West Indies at Sabina Park, Kingston in Jamaica on Sunday.

Players remained idle in first two sessions of the day as the toss was delayed by about five hours due to wet field. However, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first. They brought two changes in the playing eleven as Shadman Islam replaced Zakir Hasan, who had been continuously failing to score with the bat. Besides, left-arm quick Shoriful Islam was rested to bring in express bowler Nahid Rana. West Indies on the other hand, didn't alter the winning combination.

The visitors lost the wickets of Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Mominul Haque as early as within 30 minutes after starting the game. Joy departed cheaply for three runs while Mominul got out for a duck. Shadman then took the steering and started rebuilding the innings pairing with Shahadat Hossain Dipu. The pair remained unbroken adding 59 runs together.

Mominul remained unbeaten on 50, while Dipu was batting on 12 runs, thanks to three drop catches by the hosts, when the game of the day called off. It was 5th Test fifty for Shadman.

The game was stopped just after 30 overs due to bad light. The match will begin today 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled time 9:00pm (BST).

Kemar Roach rocked the hosts claiming both the wickets.

West Indies are leading the series 1-0 trouncing Bangladesh in the series opener by 201 runs. So, win this match will not only secure the title for the hosts but also will sweep the guests cleanly, whereas a win for Bangladesh will square the series. If this match ends in a draw, the West Indian will lift the trophy winning the series 1-0.
