Mercantile Bank appoints Mati Ul Hasan as new MD

Mercantile Bank PLC has appointed Mati Ul Hasan as the Managing Director of the bank. Earlier he was the Additional Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer of the bank, says a press release. 

Mati Ul Hasan started his banking career as probationary officer in IFIC Bank Limited at 1984. He held various positions in different branches and head office including Branch in charge of local office at Motijheel. 

He was posted at overseas branches in Pakistan in different important positions and Nepal Bangladesh Bank (Joint venture of IFIC) as DMD. 

Matiul joined Mercantile Bank in 2014 as DMD. He completed Diploma in Banking from 'The Institute of Bankers', Bangladesh and Associates of the Institute of Bankers, Pakistan.
