Police recovered the hanging body of a teenage girl from her room at Nandigram upazila in Bogura district on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Khadizatul Kubra, 15, daughter of Nurul Islam, a resident of Dauta village under Bhatgra union in the upazila.
It was learnt that the girl committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling in her room at around 11:00AM. Later, family members found her hanging body and informed the police.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Shahedd Ziur Rahman Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, said Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Nandigram Police Station.
An unnatural death case has been filed in this regard, the OC added.
