The High Court will deliver its verdict on Sunday (December 1) on the death references and appeals of the accused in August 21 grenade attack cases.
An HC bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain is scheduled to pronounce the judgement. For this, the death references and appeals have been included in cause list of the HC bench.
Lawyer Mohammad Shishir Monir confirmed this.
Deputy attorney general Md Jashim Sarker was present in the court on behalf of the state, while Shishir Monir was present for petitioners.
The HC completed the hearing on November 21.
A lower court on October 10, 2018, sentenced 19 people, including former BNP state minister for home Lutfozzaman Babar, to death in the two cases filed in connection with the grenade attacks. Meanwhile, 19 others, including BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, were given life imprisonment.
Later, the death reference reached in High Court on November 27.
