BNP Secretary General Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said on Friday that the defeated fascist group's leader is hatching conspiracy from across the border to prove that there is rise of fundamentalists in Bangladesh.

The defeated leader is also making propaganda that religious minorities are  tortured in Bangladesh, he said at a student convention organised by Dhaka Thakurgaon Chhatra Kalyan Parishad at Krishibid Institution (KIB) auditorium  at  Khamarbari in the capital.
Fakhrul said, "Defeated fascist leader wants to show to the world that Bangladesh has become a country of fundamentalists."

He said, "In Indian newspapers and in our social media it is being written as if all these bad things are happening in Bangladesh now. There is no cause  for us to be happy after we have won and the fascist lost forever."

He said, "We still have swords over our heads. They are trying to take us back into darkness. You have to alert and be careful."

Mirza Fakhrul said, "Awami League has destroyed everything."

"They destroyed the economy, looted banks and indulged in corruption. It must be stopped, resistance must be built. If the people stand against it, no power can defeat Bangladesh," he added.

Fakrhul said, "Students should keep  watchful eyes  on these issues; We must ensure that no one can take away our victory."

"The fascist torturer and murderer has fled," he said.

Fakhrul said, "There is an interim government in the country, but darkness is coming again. It hurts me a lot when I see the boys fighting each other. When  victory is achieved, the fascist flees. The achievements of the student movement cannot be allowed to go in vain."

"He said, "I am very scared when I see a lawyer was killed in the name of ISKCON and religion."
