JASHORE, Nov 29: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Friday urged all to remain alert so that the unity created in July-August uprising keeps intact against all kinds of conspiracies that are being hatched by the evil groups in the country.
"We should be alert against the conspiracy so that none can frustrate the unity which is created through July-August uprising," he said while speaking at a short street rally in Jashore town.
The martyrs of July-August uprising stood in front of bullets aiming to build a discrimination-free Bangladesh, he said.
Describing the martyrs of July movement as national heroes, he said, "We want to build a Bangladesh without discrimination, where no differences irrespective of caste, party, or religion will take place. All people will enjoy their legitimate rights with dignity as citizens of this country."
Member of the Central Executive Council of Jamaat-e-Islami Mubarak Hossain, Central Working Committee Member Maulana Azizur Rahman and Ameer of Jessore District Jamaat Professor Golam Rasul were present. —BSS
