Bangladesh Secretariat Officers-Employees United Council (Bangladesh Sachibaloy Karmakarta-Karmachari Sanjukta Parishad) on Thursday announced holding of a grand rally on December 4 at Bangladesh Secretariat to press its nine-point demand.
At a rally held on Thursday at the Secretariat, Sanjukta Parishad President Md. Badiul Kabir announced the programme.
He said if the government does not meet their demands before December 4, the organization will hold the grand rally on the day where fresh programme for strict movement will be announced.
The nine-point demand include extending the retirement age by three years to 62, cancelling illogical orders relevant with government service issued during the ousted government's tenure, promotion with retrospective effects with financial benefits, reintroducing cent percent pension and gratuity, introducing time scale and selection grades for all employees, keeping the officers and employees earn Tk 5 lakh out of the range of income tax, and introducing Secretariat allowances and rationing system like the Defence Ministry. In the rally, Badiul Kabir demanded immediate transfer and punishment of Finance Division Joint Secretary Nadira Sultana for misbehaving with a Parishad leader.
