Youth cut by train in Natore

A youth was killed after being hit by a train at Naldanga upazila in Natore district on Friday afternoon. 

The accident took place at around 4:30PM in Madhonagar rail station area in the upazila. 

The deceased was identified as Muktar Hossain, 27, son of Mohammad, hailed from Dinajpur district. 

Eyewitnesses said that Muktar was traveling to Rajshahi from Dinajpur on the Banglabandha Express train. Another train, the Ekota Express, hit him while he got down from his train to take water. He was critically injured. 

Later, he was rescued and taken to Natore Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead. 

Md Momin, station master of Madhonagar rail station, confirmed the matter.
