Woman held with equipment for making liquor

Police arrested a woman drug peddler along with the equipment for making liquor at Kaliganj upazila in Gazipur district on Thursday night. 

The arrested woman is Lata Palma, 42, a resident of South Souarikhola village in the upazila. 
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid at South Souarikhola village under Tumlia union in the upazila and arrested Lata from her house with the equipment for making liquor, said Md Alahuddin, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station. 

Later, she was sent to jail through the Gazipur court after filing a case against her under the Narcotics Control Act, the OC added.
