BPL football begins today

Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football, the top-flight football league of the country, begins Friday at three separate venues in the capital and its adjoining area.

Dhaka Mohammedan SC face Dhaka Wanderers Club at 2:30 pm at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur while Brothers Union Club will encounter Bangladesh Police Football Club at 2:30 pm at Bir Shreshtha Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj and defending champions Bashundhara Kings take on Chittagong Abahani Limited at 5:30 pm at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital.
On the following day on Saturday (Nov 30), Dhaka Abahani Limited will meet Youngmen's Club Fakirerpool at 2:30 pm at the Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur while Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society meet Fortis Football Club Ltd at 2:30 pm at the Bir Shreshtha Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.

The nine-round first round league, will be played in every Friday and Saturday of the week, scheduled to be completed on June 25 next year.
