To overhaul traditional politics, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement (ADSM) and the National Citizens Committee (NCC) will launch a new political party in January.
Many of the young leaders played a key role in the July Uprising, which brought down autocratic Sheikh Hasina government on August 5.
The new party is expected to be more inclusive and progressive to fulfill aspirations of the youth and end political sycophancy, said organisers.
The ADSM and the NCC will continue to work as pressure groups, they said.
The new political party will contest the next general election to offer the voters an alternative choice, ADSM and NCC members said on Tuesday.
ADSM and NCC held extensive discussions with political parties, student organisations and civil society groups, they said.
