Two Bangladeshis shot by BSF along B'baria border

Two Bangladeshis were reportedly shot in firing by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday at Kasba upazila in Brahmanbaria district.

The incident happened at Putia border under Bayek Union of the upazila. The injured have been sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital.
The BGB has protested against the incident in the afternoon.

The injured are Rukon Uddin, 35, son of Aziz Mia of Barhatta in Netrokona, and Zakir Hossain, 30, son of Razzak Mia of Putia village in Bayek union in Kasba upazila. They have bullet marks on their faces, hands and various parts of their bodies, said a doctor at Kasba Upazila Health Complex.

BGB 60 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. AM Jaber Bin Jabbar confirmed the incident and said that a flag meeting was held with BSF on Tuesday afternoon regarding the matter. The BGB official said that a protest has been lodged over the incident.
