NATORE, Nov 23: The people of district town are getting a good grace from ‘Janatar Bazar’ here in buying essentials, mainly fish, meat, and vegetables at a lower price. They are very happy for this.
A promoters' group consisting of 18 people including students has opened Janatar Bazar at Madrasa road crossing point area in the town recently. It remains open for two days in a week on Friday and Tuesday. It begins selling function from 7 am.
The customers are buying eggs, meat and vegetables from here at a cheaper rate comparatively and feeling better.
Zulfiqer Haider, a buyer of this bazaar, said, he buys beaf from here regularly. The quality of meat is much better, and price is 50 to 100 taka less than the prevailing market rate.
Another buyer Abdus Salam informed that he has bought four eggs (one haali) at Tk 46, but it is being sold at Tk 48 to 50 in the markets. Potatoes are cheap in this bazaar; one kilogram potato is Tk 60.
On the other hand, Qowsar Hossain, a promoter of this bazar said, they buy cow from the haat, and, after slaughtering it they sell it to customers. They buy vegetables directly from the growers. So they can sell those items in a little price.
Al-Amin, an experienced promoter of this bazaar, informed that the Janatar Bazar has gained customers love by this time. So they are thinking to expand it.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Asma Shahin said, the step of the promoters for this purpose is really admirable. If it is extended, the general customers will be more benefited, and a positive impact will come over the current market price.
