7-storey building catches fire in Farmgate

A fire broke out in the basement of a 7-storey building in the capital's Farmgate on Saturday.

However, the fire was doused by firefighters immediately after being informed.
According to Fire Service and Civil Defence sources, the fire broke out at around 9:30 AM at a godown in the basement of the building, said Anwarul Islam, a warehouse inspector of FSCD headquarters media cell.

On information, five firefighting units rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control. No casualties were reported in this incident.
