Breaking away from the integrated cluster system, Jagannath University (JnU) is set to conduct its standalone admission test for the academic year 2024-25 starting January 31. The test will carry a total of 100 marks, with 48 marks allocated to written questions, 24 to multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and the remaining 28 marks based on SSC and HSC results.
On Wednesday (November 20), Acting Registrar of the university, Prof Dr Sheikh Gias Uddin Ahmed, shared this information.
He said the admission test will begin with the "E" Unit (Faculty of Fine Arts) examination on January 31. Following this, the "D" Unit (Faculty of Social Sciences) exam will take place on February 14, the "B" Unit (Faculty of Arts) on February 15, the "A" Unit (Faculty of Science) on February 21, and finally, the "C" Unit (Faculty of Business Studies) on February 28, marking the conclusion of the admission process for 2024-25.
For the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Business Studies, questions will be based on the HSC syllabus of the respective streams. For the Faculty of Arts, questions will include topics from Bangla, English, and General Knowledge, presented in both written and MCQ formats.
