The closing ceremony of a three-day long workshop was held on Tuesday.
The workshop titled ‘Business Hackathon: Social Business Innovation and Knowledge Exchange’ was jointly organized by the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and FontysVenlo University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands.
The programme was arranged with a view to applying the students’ skills and creativity to solve real-world social business problems. The workshop also featured a dynamic social business case competition titled ‘Business Hackathon’ and four expert-led plenary sessions. Throughout the Business Hackathon five teams, each comprising of students from both Fontys and BUP, participated in a business case competition.
In the closing ceremony, therespected Vice Chancellor of BUP Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, BSP, ndc,afwc, psc, MPhil, PhD was present as the Chief Guest and distributed certificates amongst participants. Among others, delegates of FontysVenlo University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, BUP high officials, faculty membersandstudents of FBS were present in the programme.
