Two unnatural deaths in two districts

Two young men died in separate unnatural incidents in two districts - Naogaon and Chandpur, recently.

DHAMOIRHAT, NAOGAON: A construction worker died mysteriously in Dhamoirhat Upazila of the district recently.

The deceased was identified as Manik Hossain, 30, son of late Shafiqul Islam, a resident of Dakshin Chakjadu Village in the upazila. 

Local and the deceased's family sources said that Manik was working in an under construction building in Dhamoirhat Women's College area. 

After having lunch, he fell sick all of a sudden. He himself then went to Dhamoirhat Upazila Health Complex, and got admission there. 

Later on, Manik died at the hospital while undergoing primary treatment. 

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The deceased's family members claimed that he had been sick for long. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhamoirhat Police Station (PS) Md Raisul Islam confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind his death would be known after getting the autopsy report.

CHANDPUR: A young man, who was injured after falling from a Palm tree in Haziganj Upazila of the district, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) recently.

The deceased was identified as Md Mehedi Hasan, 27, son of Mohsin, a resident of Dadoshgram Union in Haziganj Upazila. 

It was known that Mehedi Hasan had climbed on a palm tree to cut its branches. At one stage, he slipped accidentally and fell from the tree, sustaining critical injuries. 

He was then rescued and taken to Haziganj Upazila Health Complex first, and then, shifted to the DMCH for better treatment.
Later on, Mehedi Hasan died at the DMCH while undergoing treatment. 

Haziganj PS OC Md Mohiuddin Faruque confirmed the incident.
