Victoria Theilvig of Denmark has won Miss Universe 2024, besting 124 other candidates during the three-hour pageant held in Mexico on Sunday.
Sheynnis Palacios passed the crown to another delegate who won the first title for their country, reports ABS CBN News.
Chidimma Adetshina of Nigeria was declared 1st runner-up followed by Mara Fernanda Beltran of Mexico, Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, and Ileana Mrquez of Venezuela, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Philippines will have to wait for another year as the country's representative Chelsea Manalo ended her journey for the Miss Universe crown before the Top 12 cut.
Manalo's inclusion in the Top 30 gave the Philippines a two-year streak in making the first cut in Miss Universe.
Last year, Philippines' representative Michelle Dee ended her journey in the Top 10.
Manalo was aiming to become the Philippines' fifth Miss Universe titleholder after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
