One held with gold bars in Satkhira

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested a teenage boy with 10 pieces of gold bars from Bhomra frontier area in Satkhira district on Thursday.

The arrested boy is Sumon Islam, 17, hailed from Lakshmidari village in sadar upazila, said a BGB press release.

Commander of 33-BGB battalion Lieutenant colonel Ashraful Haque said, being informed, a team of BGB held Sumon with 10 gold bars in the Falermor area in Bhomra on Thursday afternoon.

The seized gold bars were deposited in the treasury and Sumon was handed over to Satkhira Police Station this afternoon.
