HC cancels six cases against BNP leader Annie

The High Court has cancelled six cases filed against BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie for obstructing police to perform their duties, vandalism and for arson attacks.

Lawyer Md Kamal Hossain confirmed the matter to reporters on Thursday (November 14).

Earlier on Wednesday an HC bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Sayed Enayet Hossain pronounced the judgment after hearing on a rule.

Lawyer Kamal Hossain said of the six, five cases were filed with Shahbagh Police Station and one with Dhanmondi Police Station in 2010.
Later, a rule was issued to cancel the cases.

Kamal Hossain was accompanied by lawyers Jakir Hossain Bhuiyan and Azmal Hossain in the court during the hearing.
