Five more dengue patients died and 1,221 more people admitted to the hospitals across the country with the viral disease during the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the latest casualties, the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease reached to 372 this year.
Of them, three died in Dhaka South City Corporation, one each in Dhaka division (Excluding city corporation) and Chattogram division (Excluding city corporation).
The DGHS data said on the infected people, 312 were admitted to the hospitals in Dhaka division (Excluding city corporation), 213 in DNCC, 171 in DSCC, 123 in Chattogram division( Excluding city corporation), 160 in Khulna division.
A total of 76,021people have been infected with the viral disease from till November 13.
Among them 1,101 were released from hospital during the 24 hours period and 71, 554 till November 13.
It may be mentioned that 1,705 people died from dengue in the country last year, while 3,21,179 people were infected by the mosquito-borne disease.
