Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday formed six separate two-member committees to assess the damages of regional, district and upazila election offices after inspecting onsite the damages during the anti-discrimination student-peoples movement in last July and August.

EC Deputy Secretary (Establishment) Helal Uddin Khan issued an order in this regard.
According to the order, six deputy secretaries will lead the two-member six separate committees. The committees have been asked to submit their reports by November 18.

The committees also asked to conduct on-site inspection and investigation of the affected regional, district and upazila election offices.

During the agitation, various district and upazila election offices were damaged by vandalism and arson attack.
