COX'S BAZAR, Nov 12: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 2.125 kilograms of crystal meth in Teknaf Upazila of the district early Monday.

A team of BGB-2 recovered the drugs from Chowdhury Para Switch gate area in the upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, the BGB team conducted a drive in the area at around 4:25 am. The law enforcement members saw a man carrying a bag, coming to the Chowdhury Para Switch gate from the Naf River. At that time, the patrol team challenged the man, as he appeared suspicious. Sensing the presence of law enforcement members, the man left the bag and swam across the river before entering Myanmar.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed, captain of the Teknaf-2 Battalion of BGB, confirmed the matter.
