Youth dies after falling from Palm tree in Chandpur

A youth died at a hospital in Dhaka while undergoing treatment after falling from a Palm tree on Tuesday morning. 

The deceased was identified as Md Mehedi Hasan, 27, son of Mohsin, a resident of Dadoshgram union at Haziganj upazila in Chandpur district. 

It was learnt that Mehedi had claimed a palm tree to cut its branch around 10:00am on Monday. At that time, he slipped and fell from the tree, sustaining critical injuries. 

He was rescued and taken to a local upazila health complex. Later, he was referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for better treatment, where hi died while undergoing treatment around 11:00am on Tuesday. 

Md Mohiuddin Faruque, officer-in-charge of Haziganj Police Station, confirmed the matter.
