Former foreign minister Hasan Mahmud and former education minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury Nowfel, and 58 others were sued in case filed over shooting a pedestrian in front of Amtal Safina Hotel in Chattogram city on August 4.
The victim, Mohammad Zahidul Hasan Fahim, a resident of the Paharika residential area of Khulshi, filed the case under the Explosives Act with Kotwali police station on Sunday night.
Officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station Mohammad Fazlul Quader Chowdhury said police have accepted the case after receiving the statement of the plaintiff.
According to the case statement, the accused tortured Fahim with sharp weapon, pistol, and hockey sticks, bricks during the anti-discrimination student movement on August 4.
The complainant received treatment at New Life Hospital after the attack.
