Mahmudullah, Miraz anchor Bangladesh to 244 against Afghanistan

Mahmudullah Riyad and Mehedi Hasan Miraz delivered crucial half-centuries, leading Bangladesh to a respectable total of 244-4 in the series-deciding third ODI against Afghanistan at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday. 

The pair rescued Bangladesh from a precarious position of 72-4 in the 15th over, building an unbeaten 110-run partnership to guide the team to a solid finish.

Mahmudullah played a brisk innings, reaching his 29th ODI fifty in just 63 balls, hitting five boundaries and two sixes. He remained unbeaten on a 71-ball 63. Meanwhile, Miraz provided a steadier hand, taking 106 balls to reach his half-century and finishing with a composed 52 off 108 balls. The duo set themselves up for a late innings assault in the final overs, providing Bangladesh with a competitive total to defend. 
Bangladesh looks to clinch the series with their bowlers now tasked to capitalize on the momentum built by Mahmudullah and Miraz.
