The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Monday decided to hold special prayers and supplications for the martyrs and injured persons of the recent mass upsurge.

The prayers will be held at all mosques across the country on the next three Fridays -- November 15, 22, and 29--after Jummah prayers, said a release press on Monday.

The special prayers and supplications will be offered seeking the eternal peace of the departed souls of the martyrs in the student-led upsurge and for the early recovery of the injured persons, the release added.

The director general of the Islamic Foundation has been urged to take necessary steps in this regard, it added.
